City National Rochdale Expands Fixed Income Team
NEW YORK — City National Rochdale (CNR) has hired Katherine Hartl as the new senior quantitative analyst for fixed income. Hartl is responsible for accelerating quantitative strategies and brings a wealth of experience over years of service for the government and financial services industry.
In addition to quantitative strategy, Hartl will lead transition of CNR code, improve quantitative process for investment grade automation models, expand capabilities of risk controlled yield optimization framework, and much more. Previously, Hartl held leadership positions at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, Barclays, and Clarivest Asset Management.
A graduate of the University of California, San Diego, Hartl earned her bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics and later earned a Master of Financial Engineering from the Hass School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley and a Master of Economics from Boston University.
Hartl is also a concert pianist with a minor in music from the University of California, San Diego and holds a graduate certificate in piano performance from the Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California.
